Na de functie als opvanghuis voor hulpbehoevende vrouwen werd het pand gebruikt voor “Beschut Wonen” en werden er een aantal gestabiliseerde psychiatrische patiënten gehuisvest. Omdat het pand niet meer voldeed aan de normen inzake hedendaags wonen en brandveiligheid kwam het in 2012 leeg te staan. De voormalige bestemming van godshuis met 33 kamerwoningen wordt gewijzigd tot een meergezinswoning met 13 zelfstandige woonentiteiten voor “Beschut Wonen”. Foto's ©LUCID

Toward the end of January, as the New Year's festivities are on their last legs, it is high time to reflect on the accomplishments of the past year, and look ahead to a successful 2025.
Last weekend the new Adagio Access hotel was festively opened. Together with the expansion of the existing IBIS hotel, the site contains 98 extended stay rooms and 183 short stay rooms. In a few weeks, the apartments on the waterfront will also be completed, and the redevelopment of this part of the 'Oude Dokken Gent' masterplan will be fully implemented.
Construction has started on our newest office and studio spaces project at The Loop in Ghent.Spread over 5 buildings around a central courtyard, 25,000 m² will be realized, surrounded by a green natural landscape.Located 7 minutes from the Gent Sint-Pieters station by bike, and very well accessible by streetcar, bus and private transport, the site has multimodal accessibility, a big stone's throw from the city center of Ghent.The new development will be sustainable in all aspects of its design, construction and operation, including a BREEAM Outstanding certificate.
