The project consists of a plinth volume, connecting to the plinth of the adjacent building (also a project by ARCH & TECO), on top of which a Z-shaped building was positioned. The plinth volume contains 2 parking levels, logistical facilities and an extensive laboratory. The building itself is a compact building consisting of 2 wings connected by an intermediate zone. The wings house the offices. The intermediate zone contains the circulation, as well as outdoor terraces on each floor. The intermediate zone will be linked on the ground floor to the entrance pavilion, and a courtyard with water garden. On top of the unbuilt part of the plinth, an extensive roof garden will be created, with direct contact to the restaurant and the social areas of the building.
The new development will be sustainable in all aspects of its design, construction and operation, including a BREEAM Outstanding certificate.
